Sorry, I just had to.
I just wanted to show off the little collection of Perth squares we’ve mustered up for Jacey Boggs’ crazy tapestry project. A few of us whipped up some squares from our handspun and I’ve put some sweet little tags on them (sorry to Molly and Sheralynn, I wanted your squares in here too!) and I’m about to make a special trip to the Post Office to send them on their way. I hope they get there in time.
Yes, that is a crocheted square you see in my little pile! It took me a ridiculously long time to get it right, but it’s quite charming (and I loved that yarn. I made a cowl out of it, about which there will be a future post) and I’m proud of it.
It makes me all warm and gooey inside to think of these little babies popping overseas to join in a great migration to a symbol of this worldwide community we’ve got going on. People like Jacey are so important to it, for keeping it vibrant and evolving, and I’m excited to be able to contribute just a few little squares to building it ever anew.
